Paris

I first visited Paris about 8 years ago, before I became interested in photography. I was keen to go back there with a camera, and was lucky enough to visit again in January 2015.

I chose to shoot Portra 400 because I really like the pastel tones it gives, and I think it suits the subject in this image. All weekend I was looking for a moped to take a photo of, and this scene was just what I was hoping to come across.

Poble Espanyol

Poble Espanyol, or "Spanish Village" is a wonderful area for photography, with quiet streets and interesting buildings.

I waited for around 20 minutes for this scene to clear of tourists, and just as I was ready to fire the shutter this couple began walking down the steps. I really liked them being in the frame as they suited the scene, so I decided to take the photo with them in it.

Time

This photograph was taken for a themed challenge on the Talk Photography forum where the theme was "time" and the photos had to be taken on film.

I borrowed a friend's pocket watch and went to the local woods to take this. I got some funny looks by passers by but the results were definitely worth it!

This was taken on a Mamiya RB67 Pro S with Fuji Provia 400X slide film.
